Introduction

Nissan Almera is a compact car among the Nissan models in Europe. It is a kind of Nissan Pulsar, but adjusted to the European market. Since 2000 the second generation appeared. It is the same Nissan Bluebird Sylphy, but also adjusted for Europe. In 2006 Almera was replaced by Tiida, but in some countries under Almera name they keep producing such models as Renault Samsung SM3, Nissan Latio and others. In the European model range Almera was placed between Nissan Micra and Nissan Teana/Primera.

The main competitors of Almera are such compact cars as Ford Focus, Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Opel Astra, Hyundai Elantra, Mitsubishi Lancer, Skoda Octavia and others.Nissan Almera
Almera engines are entirely naturally aspirated inline 4 cylinder. Under the motor hood of the first generation you can find such engines as GA14DE, GA16DE and certainly SR20DE. The second Almera version uses QG15DE and QG18DE. Besides the gasoline engines, such diesel ones as CD20, YD22DDTi were also used. Also sometimes French engine K9K by Renault might happen.
