Introduction

Nissan Qashqai is a compact SUV for the European market, produced since 2006. In the SUV model range you can find it between Nissan X-Trail and Nissan Juke.
Qashqai competes with Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Sportage, Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (ASX), VW Tiguan, Hyundai Tucson/ix35 and other similar cars.

There is nothing special about Nissan Qashqai engines. For the first generation those were naturally aspirated inline-4 cylinder HR16DE and MR20DE. For Qashqai 1.5 dCi K9K engine is made by Renault. Also there were diesel versions, equipped with Renault R9M and Nissan M9R dCi engines.Nissan Qashqai
The second generation uses turbocharged HR12DDT and MR16DDT engines, and also naturally aspirated MR20DE. It is also possible to purchase Qashqai 1.5 dCi with diesel engine K9K. Other dCi versions use R9M by French Renault.
