Mitsubishi Galant

Mitsubishi Galant

Mitsubishi Galant was a mid-size car produced from 1969 until 2012. Among the Mitsubishi cars, Galant ranked above Lancer (over Carisma in the 90s) and was a senior model. The list of competitors Galant includes Chrysler Sebring, Nissan Altima/Primera, Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion/Mondeo, Opel Insignia, and others.

Let’s have a look at the engines of Galant. We will start with 7 generation since older cars virtually cannot be found. For instance, 7-8 generations used the following engines: 4G63, 4G64, 4G93, 6G73, 6A11, and 6A12. There was also the twin-turbo 6A12 for Galant VR-4 and the diesel 4G68.Mitsubishi-Galant
In 2003, 9 gen appeared where completely different engines were used. Under the hood of Galant 9, one could see a 4G69 and a large 6G75 V6.

Below you will find detailed information about each of these engines: their specs and differences, main problems and reasons thereto, the information about their service life and reliability, recommended oil, its amount and allowed consumption. We will also tell you how to add a little power and make driving your car more enjoyable.
