Scion xA

Introduction

Scion xA is a small subcompact car, which was manufactured from 2004 to 2006. This car is usual JDM Toyota Ist adapted for the US market.
During its production, xA held the lowest position among the Scion models, just below Scion xB.
The main competitors of xA: Chevrolet Aveo, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio, Toyota Echo, and other similar size cars.
In 2006, it was replaced with Scion xD.
In contrast to JDM version, there is only one Scion xA engine – it’s Toyota 1NZ with 1.5L displacement. Toyota Ist used also 1.3L 2NZ, but for the US market, it was decided not to use such a small engine.
